Student Research Assistant (HiWi) in Programming and Experimental Physics (Optics)
We are looking for a Student Research Assistant (HiWi) starting in June to support the development and implementation of an algorithm for the automated fine alignment of optomechanical setups in an experimental research environment.
Tasks
- Development of an algorithm for the automated fine alignment of optomechanical components
- Implementation and testing of the software in Python directly on the experimental setup
- Analysis and optimization of alignment processes with respect to stability and efficiency
- Support in integrating the algorithm into existing measurement and control systems
Profile
- Studies in physics or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience in structured problem solving
- Interest in experimental work and physical setups
- Basic knowledge or practical experience in optics / laser systems
- Desirable: experience with data analysis or automation of experiments
- Independent, analytical, and solution-oriented working style

Conditions
